Tour Leaders

At TigerTechAdventures, we aim to give every Climber a unique and memorable experience on the Stratos Tower. Our enthusiastic Tour Leaders are the ones charged with making this happen.

One of the great perks of the job is the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. With over three hours to get to know each other, our Tour Leaders concentrate on bringing the Tour group together to share the experience of a lifetime! By the time you reach the top, everyone in your Climbing group will seem like an old friend.

Our Tour Leaders truly put their heart into their jobs and we get lots of great feedback. If you’d like to leave a message for your Climb Leader, email us. Please include your Climb time and date so we can pass it on.

Training

Safety is our number-one focus and all Tour Leaders have first aid-certification, have undergone an independent medical assessment, and have completed our rigorous training program.

During the three-month training period, they pass through two stages to gain a complete understanding of all safety issues, and become experts on the history and construction of the Stratos tower.

Stage 1 - Employees undertake a six-week structured induction and training program to attain a competency certification that takes them to Stage 2.

Stage 2 - The employee’s performance is closely monitored during this probationary period. At the end of Stage 2, a formal assessment takes place to gauge the employee’s knowledge and skills before they can go on to become a fully fledged Tour Leader.

It is not an easy task. Our Tour Leaders must carry up to 15lbs of safety equipment while projecting their voice over wind and rain, and offering detailed commentary and safety information throughout the trip. They must also be ready to undertake the Stratos Tower Tour up to three times per shift, in all weather conditions.
