Rules and Guidelines
A customer should have:
- A reasonable level of fitness and strength
- Control of hand, foot and eye co-ordination
- Ability to climb stairs and platforms independently (unsupported by walking aids)
All Customers MUST:
- Be twelve or older
- Be over 5’ tall
- Have a blood alcohol reading of 0.04% or less. Customers must pass an alcohol breath test before beginning a climb. Customers with blood alcohol readings of more than the limit will forfeit their ticket
- Not carry any camera or cell phone. Pictures will be taken by the tour guide when destination is reached.
- Not have any broken bones that are healing (in casts)
- Not have undergone surgery in the past 8 months or have any symptoms that are on going from that surgery
- Not have experienced any seizure in the past year or do not hold a driver’s license because of seizures.
- Not be more than 20 weeks pregnant. Customers less than 20 weeks pregnant must have a medical doctor sign a Fitness form. [Note: the form will be determined later in class]
Important: The ToTheTop Tour requires a health declaration from the customer.
Other Important Information:
- Customers may take essential medication such as asthma inhalers or diabetic medication before the climb
- The Structural Tour only climbs to the 100th floor of the building, goes inside an elevator shaft, the security corridor, and other places focusing on the various construction problems the engineers had to construct the cantilevered sections of the building. The final rappel down the elevator shaft may be substituted for a ride down the elevator.
- The ToTheTop Tours are cancelled in the event of a major thunderstorm or tornado in the immediate forecast. Rain, snow, moderate winds are regular weather conditions at the top of the building. The customers will need to be alerted as to cancelations, and an automatic refund is sent along with an invitation to rebook at customer’s leisure.
